Arnak Bladeweaver
Race: Orc
Age: 26
Born on the dying world of Draenor in the orcish clan of Twilight's Hammer, Arnak was brought up as a true warrior of his race, seeking bloodshed and glory in battle. At the age of twenty, he was among the first warriors who entered the Dark Portal and soon was leading the attack on human settlements. However, the assault on Stormwind Keep was an ultimate failure of the young Horde, as human cavalry scattered the invaders and drove them back from the walls of the capital city. Arnak received a heavy wound in that battle, and was left behind by his warriors. However, he managed to crawl away from the battlefield, and evaded the human soldiers searching for survivors to finish them off. Soon afterwards, he was picked up a group of Horde deserters. During the following few months this gang, calling themselves "the Death's Hand", was preying on human villages and trade routes, successfully escaping from militia expeditions sent after them, and accepting new members of all races, from human outlaws to ogres and goblins. It was then that Arnak, no longer having any sympathy for the Horde, considered this rag-tag bandit group to be an ideal basis for his grand plan. Respected and supported by the majority of his fellow brigands, he killed the Death's Hand's leader in a duel and claimed his place. From this point on, his ultimate goal was to gather a full-scale mercenary force, one that both the Horde and Stormwind should reckon with. Within five years, this plan has come true: as its new leader managed to get the financial support of Venture Co. and access to the arsenals of Thorium Brotherhood, the Death's Hand has grown into a formidable army, armed and trained to match any other opponent on the battlefield. After having their "baptism of fire" in the jungle wars of Stranglethorn, where they have laid waste to numerous troll strongholds on the side of goblin land developers, the Death's Hand now has moved north, to spill the blood of Stormwind humans for the gold of Horde War Chief, Orgrim Doomhammer, in the final assault on the capital city of Azeroth's greatest nation.
Arnak's ideals do not match those of a regular orc. Having enjoyed enough of human wine and women, and preferring human weapons and war tactics over the orcish ones, he has no respect or understanding of the Horde's obsession with carnage and destruction. The examples of many people he has encountered, starting with his pet Stephania, has proven to him that humans are submissive by nature and are willing to accept the rule of the strongest in exchange for safety and protection. The goal of Arnak's life is to make the human civilization submit to the will of the orcs like him, and to reap the fruits of human culture instead of destroying them. He dreams of chosen orcs becoming a race of masters on human lands, instead of being senseless murderers that will starve again after they have burned and killed everything, as they did on Draenor.
Arnak wields a legendary polearm weapon known as the Deathgiver. It is rumored that this blade that cuts through stone, steel and flesh alike, has been forged deep under the Blackrock Mountain, in the volcanic foundries of the Molten Core. Nobody knows how did the Deathgiver make its way to the surface, but Arnak acquired it from the Thorium Brotherhood, for a whole fortune of gold and jewels.
Stephania Fioravanti
Race: Human
Age: 17
Stephania was born in Stormwind, several years before the first orcish invasion. Being the daughter of Lady Wilhelmina Fioravanti, one of the first women in history who earned the rank of a Knight Commander, young Stephania received more warrior training than a regular girl of her status and age. However, she was growing up as a rebellious and disobedient child, unwilling to live up to the name of her heroic mother. Fed up with boredom and strict discipline, at the age of fifteen Stephania managed to run away from her home castle, seeking a life of a vagabond and adventurer. This life, however, turned out to be much more cruel and unfair than she expected: after two years of wandering across southern Azeroth with a group of vagrants like herself, Stephania got into trouble with a goblin banker at Booty Bay. Unable to pay back the money she owed him, she was forced to become a slave. Her further fate would have been very grim, if not for circumstances that brought Arnak Bladeweaver to Booty Bay, seeking payment from Venture Co. for an accomplished assassination contract. He accepted a human slavegirl as part of the payment, first intending to resell her on the Horde slave markets. However, soon after hearing Stephania's story he changed his mind and kept her by his side, in time even allowing her to wield weapons and have a share in the gang's loot. Though Stephania at first was looking for any opportunity to escape, soon she found out that mercenary's life, even as Arnak's nominal slave, is more appealing to her than anything she experienced before.
Feeling greatly attracted to her master, Stephania refuses to accept that in his turn he has very little, if any, love for her. Bending a daughter of one of Storwind's greatest heroes to his will and way of life is but a symbol of his idea of domination over human race by assimilating their civilization instead of destroying it. From the beginning, he manipulated Stephania and exploited her weaknesses in order to make her the perfect servant for him. Stephania's respect for Arnak combined with her low-self esteem (and believing that without Arnak her life as a slave would have been much more terrible than what she has now), makes her nearly fanatically true to her master and his cause. It should be emphasized, however, that Stephania is very respectful and obedient, but not servile. She would never allow Arnak humiliate or abuse her as a common slave, though she knows he would never do that anyway (and this makes her even more loyal to him).
Stephania serves as Arnak's personal agent, scout and bodyguard. Though she often appears harmless (especially in comparison with Arnak's intimidating look), she has learned to attack and kill without hesitation. In combat, she relies on her agility and small frame rather than strength. Her fighting style is fast, rough and dirty: a pair of knives and switchblades hidden in her boots makes Stephania a troublesome opponent for anyone considering her an easy prey.
Кстати, инквизиторша - Wilhelmina Fioravanti, мама Стефании. Ессесна, семейные отношения у них из рук вон.
