Немного инфо от сербских братьев с места событий (вчера днём):
I’ve mentioned our guy that is reporting from Ukraine, first of all, he's alive and well. The video from Mauripol is uploaded, but it's almost 2 hours long and the audio is so messed up that it's unwatchable. Can't blame the man, he's doing it almost all by himself. He posted another one this morning, obviously from some safer spot so just some cliffs:
- around 1/4 of Mauripol is still held by Ukrainian forces but the fighting is not so intense anymore
- that video with POWs being shot is from the very beginning of this war, Ukrainian command is still investigating the case
- Heaviest fighting in the whole of Ukraine currently is around Donetsk, DNR is shelling a couple of suburbs heavily from the early morning
- He feels as if the war is just starting from what he's seen on the field
- A lot of pro-Russian troops are still not engaging. From his sources, the plan was to wait for Mauripol to fall because of its huge strategic importance, then call Ukrainian troops in the region (around 50-70 000 his estimate) to surrender. From what he's being told, that decision was dropped and he expects heavy Russian attacks in the coming days.
- Most of the areas with extremely intense fighting are closed off to everybody, including journalists so trust nobody (but we all know that already). Street by street, it's been taken by DNR then re-taken by the Ukrainian military.
- Chechens have been sent to clean some of Mauripol's quarters despite some of our people demanding to be involved, they feel Chechens are stealing their glory. In his opinion, it is done to appease muslim countries and ensure Russia's future cooperation with them.
Here's the video, it's in Serbian of course but just to post it as a source:
