Laconos II
When the twenty genetically engineered superhumans known as the Primarchs were scattered across the galaxy, one infant fell to the war-torn world of Hellas. Here he was taken in by a warrior society known as the Blood-Cloaks, and trained rigorously to be the ultimate warrior.
The Blood-Cloaks swiftly recognised his worth as a soldier as he, like the other Primarchs, grew at a super-human rate. He swiftly rose to become their greatest champion and conquered fully half the world by his trademark flame-sword and shield, before his life was changed irrevocably by the arrival of a giant in golden armour.
When the Emperor found Hellas in his search for the twenty Primarchs, his suspicion was immediately aroused as he detected a telepathic void - as if something was blocking out all psycic signals. The Emperor descended and discovered the source to be his 'son' Laconos, who had a remarkable natural imunity to psycic abilities. When Laconos was offered the second Space Marine Legion, he is recorded as having said 'I will take them, Father, and all the enemies of the Imperium will quake at the name of the Knights of Hell itself!'
Malal (Primarch) XI
Malal as a Primarch is, unofficially, exactly the same God of Chaos as the Malal included in some older Games Workshop products. This is a seperate page to act as a base for what is essentially an unofficial version of Malal to fit with one of the Legions I created.
Before the twenty genetically engineered superhumans known as the Primarchs were scattered across the galaxy, the incubation capsule of the XIth Primarch had been cracked by Horus. When the infant was hurled through the Warp, his capsule gave in and exploded, leaving him stranded in the realm of Daemons.
In the Warp, the child was assaulted by Daemons, and found the only salvation in the form of the Ruinous Powers, who recognised him as an easy target of imense potential. Soon elavated to a Daemon Prince of Chaos Undivided, he grew to hate the Power of Chaos - despite the fact that without it he would undoubtedly have died. Realising that power in the Warp came through belief in realspace, Malal, as he came to be known, began a campaign across worlds to elevate himself to Godhood. Becoming known as the Renegade God, he eventually ascended to join Khorne, Nurgle, Slaanesh and Tzeentch as a God of Chaos.
Travelling through the Warp on his way to the homeworld of Angron, the Emperor came across a small planet, emmiting a psychic signal he recognised as that of one of his sons, but also with the stain of Chaos. Descending to investigate, the Emperor was admitted to an audience with Malal (who knew the Emperor as his father, and an enemy to Chaos). When the Emperor realised that Malal was beyond simple corruption by Chaos, he disowned him, saying 'You are no son of mine! Henceforth, you do not exist in the eyes of the Imperium!', to which Malal replied 'How can an enemy of Chaos be such a fool? We share the same goal, and I will have what is mine!'. It is believed here that Malal was refering to his Legion - see Pre-Heresy. The Emperor then left, and as promised, the Imperium and even the other Primarchs never knew that the XIth Primarch had ever even been found. Essentially, although Horus and other Primarchs betrayed the Imperium and became Daemon Princes, no other has reached the height of heresy as Malal did of becoming a Chaos God.
After his rejection by the Emperor, Malal plotted to gain control of the Legion he considered rightfully his. Intercepting Imperial transmissions, he eventually found that the Legion was on its way to Scelus. When they landed, his forces surrounded them, and he declared to them that he was their Primarch. Most saw the truth in this, and joined him by taking up the name of Warp Daemons - a reflection of his upringing. Some, however, saw him only as a Daemon and refused service as it would be Heresy. Dissappointed with these, he let them go - although he later claimed the Chapter they formed - the Sons of Malice.
Shortly before the Heresy, Malal dicovered the reason for his being lost in the Warp - Horus. Knowing Horus to be already taken by Chaos, it was Malal who whispered in his ear that encouraged him to travel back to the time that the Primarchs were originally held in incubation capsules, even telling him to crack the incubation capsule of Malal - knowing that it would take his ascension to Godhood to end the later Heresy.
Although no friend of the Imperium, Malal was disgusted that nine Primarchs turned to Chaos and made it his business to ensure the victory of the Imperium. During the Heresy, many forces of Chaos Marines went missing - sometimes entire fleets - and this is believed to be his work as none were ever seen or heard of again.
Malal believes that were it not for his destruction of many key traitor forces, the Imperium would have been defeated by Horus - and so feels that they owe him. It is believed that when all Chaos is destroyed and the Emperor revived, Malal will relinquish his poer as a God to completely destroy the final taint of Chaos in the universe, and shall recieve salvation from the Emperor for himself and his damned Legion.
The Daemons of Malal will, wherever possible, attack Daemons of other Chaos Gods. Many wield weapons possessed by the Daemons of rival Gods as a mark of superiority.
The Bestial Daemon of Malal is the Warp Lord, an immense beast similar in appearence to the classic Dragon in western culture, whose scales have the appearence of steel. Warp Lords are notoriously hard to summon as they loath being dragged from the Warp where their natural prey - Daemons of other Chaos Gods - resides.
The Greater Daemon of Malal is the Warp Angel, a towering humanoid in black void armour, with gigantic black wings fanning out behind it. Their face is a skull, half black and half white like the symbol of their patron God.
