Overview of the Raven Guard

Raven Guard have some really nice hit and run tactical rules. The rules for Raven Guard allows the fleet special rule for infantry models which I believe is correct. The special units are very fast attack and have an array of special rules which suit nicely, such as a deep strike bonus.

The characters look good but I am not sold on the Moritat based character which was shown in the previews on the Forge World website after seeing the legion rules. Corax looks really good, a very good statted primarch with some good rules which include multiple attack variations and also a rule which makes some units have to only shoot snapshots.

There are more great rules for Corax and the other characters/units and I think they have done this legion quite well, although I was hoping to see some jetpack unit traits/bonuses or some more shrouded rules but I know they can't make all the legions overpowered! Very happy I am using this legion in the battles to come.

Overview of the Alpha Legion

Now this is the Legion I have been most looking forward to seeing. Wondering which rules are going to be implemented and also the rulings for Alpharius. And I have not been disappointed as some of the traits look awesome. This includes having an extra special rule from a list at the start of the game and also included in the rite of war allows taking a non alpha legion unit into their own fold (im speaking very loosely there as I don't want to give too much away regarding this and everything else for that matter). They are also allowed the banestrike bolter rounds (see betrayal in the sons of horus section).

The majority of the units and characters have some sort of infiltration bonus and have some equipment that helps them with getting to combat easier. One character is actually just listed as "the assassin" and he looks to be a very useful character as he has a nice wound calculation difference.

Alpharius is a great Primarch in my opinion. He has a great rule which I had been guessing may happen which, in basic terms, means he hides within a unit and pops out when you choose to (there is lots more to that which you will enjoy if you are keen on Alpha). He also has some great legion bonuses which also include bonuses to steal the initiative and a preferred enemy bonus.

Regarding the Alpha Legion I am very excited to use these. The rules are very complex (which is what I like) and Alpharius looks like a great Primarch to use. There isn't really anything that I dislike about this army, only that I'm not doing these guys now!!

Iron Warrior Overview

The legion has powerful grenade and Melta-bomb attacks. There is a great morale check rule against opponents fire which goes with their style of advancing forward.

They gain stubborn with Perturabo on the table. There is a rule which kind of goes against them with turn length options for the opponent, but if u play them well should not be an issue.

Warsmiths are an option and can be used to nerf one piece of terrain in the opponents deployment zone.

The Hail of fire rule encourages the use of Bolters in before they charge.

Tyrant Siege Terminators although expensive could be awesome. A squad full of Cyclone missile Packing Terminators would be pretty dangerous.

Iron Havocs could be great. Not sure what weapons I would equip them with but I reckon they could be a good unit.

Erasmus Golg is a beast, he also unlocks Legion Terminator squads as Troop Choices.

Warsmith Kyr Vhalen is a very interesting Character. He is a great defensive character and looks mean as hell. Funny thing is: He is a Loyalist!

Perturabo is very good when he gets Forgebreaker is his Mitts. But otherwise just uses his fists.

His wrist cannon is excellent and I never think he will miss with it.

Overall it is a quite average Legion unless you want to bring Perturabo and lots of heavy options. But very very fitting with their Legion persona.

Imperial Fists Overview

The legion is very powerful with all bolt type guns. They also have some very nice rules in relation to challenges.

They gain stubborn when claiming cover/fighting from fortifications and barricades. Their opponent are able to opt to play six full turns instead of the roll to end the game being made.

The Phalanx Warder Squad, which is a troop choice for the Imperial Fists, must be the two compulsory troop choices. Also, an army detachment can not have more Elites and Fast Attack choices total then they have Troop choices.

The Templar Brethren seem like a pretty standard unit, but they do have an option of tanking a Solarite power gauntlet which does look very tasty.

The Phalanx Warder Squad does look like a squad that will be used a lot (not just because you have to). They have a lot of weapon choices and have some very cool rules with their Shields.

Sigismund in my opinion is the best legionary, and rightfully so. Lots of really cool rules in close combat.

Alexis Polux seems like a pretty stander character, however very good for his points value.

Rogal Dorn is the cheapest primarch in this book, however I believe he is still as good as the others. He is pretty powerful in close combat as his weapon has the shred special rule. He also has the option of halving his attacks and increase the his strength by +2. He can awake Terminators as a troop choice.

Magos Prime: Kind of like a Praetor. Must be upgraded with an Archana. Independant Character! REJOICE!

Archana:

Archimandrite: Gives all your vehicles IWND and gets +1 to reserves

Malagra: Chases down hereteks, so gets +1Ws and Attack, among other things

Myrmidax: Makes you a Myrmidon

Ordinator: Gives you a bombardment attack

Lachrimallus: Gives you a unit of thralls that come back from the dead on a 5+ (and into reserves).

Macrotek: Looks like you get to reroll battlesmiths and Auxilia are troops? Also an extra fortification. э

Magos Dominus: Just like before, you need these assholes to keep your robots under control (unless you take Auxilia). NOT ICs.

Caleb Decima

Arcmagos Inar Satarael: Monstrous creature sized Magos with a shield that can reflect shots back at the shooter and teleports home on a 3+ if he would otherwise die. Comes with a cortex controller and is an Archimadrite. If you're taking a lot of robots and who isn't? He's probably worth your time.

Elites

Techpriest Auxillia: Must choose an Arcana. They can also take Triaros as a dedicated transport. Enginseer gives them battlesmith and Servo Arms, their servitors get the support rule.

Lacyraemarta: FNP 5+ and +1 to Adsecularis FNP within 6". So they're thrallmasters. Sexy.

Reductor: Servo arms (Note, they don't loose Battlesmith), everyone gets Tank Hunters and Wrecker! They can also trade in their servo arms for Conversion Beamers or Gravitorn Imploders for +25

Myrmidon Secutors: As before but can take a Triaros

Troops

Castellax cohort

Adsecularis Covenant: Thralls as before, no vehicle, but they can now go up to 20 Thralls. Can be given Carapace, their shots doubled, or made into plague zombies with hatred. Mix in some Lacyraemarta love and suddenly you've got 4+ FNP.

Dedicated Transport

Triaros Armoured Conveyer: Not quite a CRASSUS, but close. 14/12/12, 4HP The thing comes standard with a flare shield for all that -1 goodness. It also gets a shock ram, wich is like an anabaric claw, but also gives you AV15 on your front when ramming and does haywire damage. Carries 20 and rerolls dangerous terrain. Give it lesser IWND for 5 points. 135.

Fast Attack

Ursarax Cohort: These are Thallax with twin lightning claws and they have ironman chest lasers. If they use them in CC, they are str6 ap2 instant death, but you only get the one attack that turn.

Vorax Class Battle-Automata: Quicker and lighter (4+ armour and 3W, but I4) than the Castellax, they get fleet and scout. They also come standard with a pair of rotor cannons, a lightning gun, and powerblades. (Can swap the lightning for an irrad cleanser) Outflank these assholes and let their automatic programming take care of the rest.

Heavy Support

Thanatar Class Siege-Automata: 240 a pop, but they're t8,s8 2+. They get Hellex Plasma Mortars, which are ordinance barrage str 8 ap2 plasma blasts which force rerolls on conver saves. Go look up a picture and see how sexy they are.

Krios: Farmer Jone's angry Tractor. These are 13/12/10 3HP with a flare shield. Aww hell yeah. The're fast and can be taken in squadrons of 3. Start off at 125, and can take a Pulsar Fusil for 25 extra points. (So turn your 7 3 large blast lighting gun into a 9 2 ordinance 4. Can be taken in mixed.) They also have Autosimulacra.

Mechraiders

Myrmidon Destructors: Can now take a Photon Thruster. They also can take Triaroi. Note that their grav gun has been replaced by a Graviton Imploder.

Берроса он, емнип, голыми руками изломал. Таким же макаром он с Харкора все знаки отличия сорвал и до рядового понизил.

fluff has it that its reduced transport capacity is because on the onboard stealth systems.

По мне так правила на альфача-трюкача намного интереснее. У противника из резерва выходит тактичка и на 4+ вместо нее выходит твоя тактичка! Гениально! =)

Чумааа..Хотя, Ws Коракса меньше чем у Перту, что странно.Но все равно, шикарнота.С возможностью выходить из боя, затемнением и под боевым стилем, Коракс превращается прямо в ксеноморфа.щщикаарно.

Кстати, это я тупой или не указаны статы к археотековым пистолетам?

Ну Феррус Манус сделал и раздал всем своим братьям по девайсу. Вроде бы у Пертурабо то ли молот был то ли дубинка, хотя могу и глючить, поздно уже, а инфа редкая и не помню где смотрел.

Чумааа..Хотя, Ws Коракса меньше чем у Перту, что странно.

Зато инициатива выше, т.е. бить будет первым, плюс атак у Коракса больше. Но в целом да - этот момент странен.

Спец.правила на отряды RG зело интересны. Надеюсь для игла будет возможность смены ХБ на ММ. Ну и конечно интересна очковая стоимость, хотя, ИМХО, любой поклонник RG постарается включить их в армию :) Для "полного счастья" осталось дождаться спец.правил самого легиона, и можно с спокойной совестью додумывать армию :)

У Коракса лучше всех рукопашка.Вектор страйк,3 импакта 5 силы ап 3,до 10 атак 7 силы ап 2,с перебросом ранений,ослеплением,по 7 вс и 8 ине.Такое мало кто переживет.Даже если и переживет,то можно выйти за хит энд ран или спец правило.Ну и чарджит он почти всегда первый из-за пака и флита на 6,который он еще и всем в армии раздает.По сути это ваах каждый ход.Это жесть какая-то,он должен очков 500 стоить минимум.

Пертурабо самый всос, ололо. Ничего полезного,как у других примархов, не наблюдается чуть боеле,чем полностью.

там как был жр читней с ам так и остались. с делением на легионы инвалиды типа ДГ. и чит полом содом. форджа не меняется, неспособные лепщики резины

Все правила логичны и подходят своим легионам. Миниатюры шикарны, арты тоже. Остальное проблемы восприятия, а не правил.

ок- все правила логичны

давайте выдади жр итвнд. фнп. топ1 примарха. смотрим на дг. всяких там фнп нет. но типа они неплохо шарятся по болотам с химией. кул лиджн бро. интересно. какой же легионо- орден каки вв 40к будет топ 1 в EU. помимо мехов конечно. прям не знаю

Картинки на предыдущей странице.РГ шторм рейвин с ослепляющими и станящими ракетами и вшитым стелсом. Т.е первый отстрелялся,со второго вылезли терми и почарджили инвалидов с вс 1 и 1 иней.
