I just got a really interesting PDF in my email, I can't say from where but it looks like a preview copy of Codex Dark Angles. I don't want to get the site in trouble so I won't post a link here but I think most people can find it if they know where to look. But as far as I know there's no reason I can't summarize it here.

As many expected the codex brings the Dark Angles back to their roots as expert planners and strategists, masters of outflanking and attacks from unexpected directions. The Dark Angles no longer parallel the Ultramarines, they are clearly off on a tangent.

The original fluff about them being Native Americans is alluded to, the background section talks about how the Dark Angles have started recruiting from the world of Cos, which was once overrun by Genestealers and considered tainted. Its population is tanned and well muscled and willing to repent their sin to join the Dark Angles. Units from Cos are known as Cos-Sinners and are experts at infiltration.

In keeping with the new theme they'll be getting a new siege gun called the Land Raider Locus (picture a land raider with a vindicator gun up front). It costs 314 points and change but looks worth it. They also get a servitor variant known as the Sons of Apollonius who reduce scatter through their careful calculations of parabolic arcs and declination.

Naturally there's some new fluff about their deep, dark secret and who knows the secret. It seems there are now 36 degrees of initiation each with 10 levels. But the progress is not linear, once you've gone through every degree you're back where you started. It's all very zen.

Assault squads will get a buff with new T-shaped blades and hand weapons that have a triangular or arc shape. Because these weapons extend into other dimension (lost C'tan tech) they count as rending.

New special characters appear with the Dark Angles getting a new Third Company Captain (Pythagoras, hero of Hypotenus II) and new librarian (Euclid, Guardian of the Elements).

The Fallen Angles play an important role in complementing the Dark Angles and are described an acute problem though sometimes their tactics are a bit obtuse. The Sorcerer Riemann from the old Bloodquest books appears as Euclid's arch enemy. The fallen feel that they are right in their fight against the Dark Angles and that when they attack the Dark Angles reflex is to go straight off mission and hunt them down.

From what I see the Dark Angles will no longer be a plain 2-dimensional chapter but will really take on new depth.

1 апреля? Удачных LoLs

theDarkGeneral has said there may not be much focus on newer Chaos Space Marine chapters, keeping things squarely on the original 9 Traitor Legions and their splinter factions. This means it's likely there won't be much or any love for Huron.

He also said he believed Chaos may get a form of Preferred Enemy, but was unsure which units.

On Daemons, theDarkGeneral has claimed that Daemon Princes could wind up being the only "Marked" Daemonic creatures. What this means is unclear. Could be he means there are no God-specicif Daemons, or that they are there, just that they don't use "Marks".

Whilst on the subject of Daemon Princes, theDarkGeneral also claims they will move more in line with the ones in the Daemon Codex but "with a more Chaos Space Marine feel", gong on to say they may gain specific benefits for different Legions.

Terminators were a big topic, with theDark general claiming Chosen may not have access to Terminator Armour (contradicting his previous rumour), but that Cult Terminators would return in some form. He went on to say he believed there would only be two Terminator units, claiming one was some sort of "generic cult" unit that was given special rules according to the Legion being played. He made sure to reinforce that this was an early playtest, so things could have changed.

Stickmonkey has also implied that a plastic Chaos drop pod could be in the works, but tempered that by saying we probably wouldn't see it any time soon. Whether the kit is released soon or not, there could be a chance of the rules appearing in the Codex though.

Hi all. A mate at work whos brother works over at the printers gw use was back home for easter this past weekend and shared some intresting things. DARK ANGELS are aparently next and set for next couple of months.

*Aparrently stuff we have heard re chaplin wolfguard style units is not far from the mark. They are to get a new speeder varient.

*New elite ravenwing unit.

*I was also told of a new psychic power that works similarly to some sort of shield that a necron unit gets. Basically it forces a unit targeting librarian to hit an allied unit instead. Not familiar with new necron book so not sure what that is.

Новый слушок с Варсира про стартер:

Starter news I have heard from several places now:

DA:

Terminator Captain

5 Deathwing

Tac Squad

Ravenwing bikes (3 likely)

Chaos:

Sorcerer

Chosen

CSM squad?

Cultists

Posessed?

Dreadnought?

Dreadnought seems likely, as it adds vehicle rules. CSM squad may be referring to the chosen, or may not. Posessed will have to see, but they would add a daemonic aspect to the force.

The last six months have been how can we say…

interesting when it has come to rumors concerning our beloved Warhammer 40k.

With the so call ”Hobbit” rumor lock down, reliable rumors have been hard to come by. Well finally, I am about to bring you a ray of light in the otherwise dark age of rumors, but before we get to any rumors let me start off by saying that I was wrong.

I was partially wrong about a certain rumor I’ve been repeating for the last year or so.

The main reason for the error is that I assumed Games Workshop would never have only one 40k codex for an entire calender year. Sadly, GW has a habit of disappointing…

So I want start by adding my voice to the venerable rumor monger Stickmonkey when he recently made mention, that Dark Angels weren’t coming till at least early next year.

40k players will only get one codex this year and that is Chaos Space Marines– along with 6th edition of course.

So the time-table has changed and looks like this:

June-July 6th Edition

Sept-Oct Chaos Space Marines

Sprinkle in some flyers, buildings, and that is all you will see from the 40k front for the year.

Now what about 6th edition and Chaos Space Marine rumors you might ask?

Well I got them and it is time for the other rumor mongers to join in.

I am pretty sure a few people have been siting on rumors for quite some time.

Like the pieces to a puzzle, if only everyone shows there pieces, then we will create a clear 6th edition picture.

So with the ”gauntlet” thrown, I won’t be posting anything about 6th and the CSM codex today.

Instead I am going to wait one day to see if we can get others to shake that rumor tree first.

WARNING to everyone expect the unexpected when it comes to GW– 6th edition is not going to be the 5th edition quick fix many people were hoping for.

Ай хоуп соу....Ай хоуп

Инфа от TastyTaste

40K is getting major releases in 2012. To help bring about the Apocalypse, they are releasing Chaos Space Marines a few months before the Mayan Calendar runs out.

2012 is the catch up year. After several lawsuits and IP lawyer changes, GW is now calling 2012 the catch up year. Models that should have came out a few years ago are going to be released sort of like what was going on with the recent Space Wolves and Tyranid releases. So basically the Summer of Flyers releases from awhile back will come out this year. It is not going to be a full on release like Cities of Death, but more or less new models to help the 6th Edition rules release be even more successful.

Since the success of of the Dark Eldar release, GW has pushed to start releasing two 40K codexes a year with each having a 1.5 release (as the community calls it) and a full wave 2 release along with several other mini releases with other armies. The problem is, there are several armies that did not get incorporated into this new time table, such as Tyranids who being the most unpopular army at the moment, will only get waves of models trickled out a few at a time to get those weird 40K players buying stuff.

Now the only exception to the 2 codexes a year rule will be when a new edition comes out. Because a new edition is such a massive undertaking, game developers will put other wish list armies on the back burner until the next year.

This fall there will be new plastic kits for Plague Marines and Chaos Space Marines to go along with the codex release. Thousand Sons will be released in January in finecast and their will be multi-part plastic boxed set contains 111 components with which to build ten Noise Marines or Ten Khorne Berserkers. Wave 2 will also include a new Plastic Defiler and Dred Claw drop pod.

Also Eldar or Tau will be released in February 2013 followed by a Dark Angels release in June 2012 followed by either Tau or Eldar that fall. Squats will make a return but will be nothing like you remember them. Think dreadnought type vehicles with cyborg pilots hardwired into the systems. They will function a lot like the Ogre Kingdoms in fantasy. Troops will consist of groups of 4 Dreadnought sized vehicles and HQs will all be Dreadknight sized

С БоЛСа:

Apparently the floodgates are open, all kinds of rumormongers are talking. Here are some choice 40k morsels said to be coming our way in the days ahead:

Chaos Marines

-The "flying dragon thingy" is coming. It is a flyer and one of two entirely new units added to the codex.

-The second new unit is said to be a Chaos answer to the Grey Knight Dreadknight.

-The Chaos Dreadnought is indeed still there (take a breath people), but gets a new name, and a rules overhaul.

-Hardcover book (just like Fantasy army books)

6th Edition

-Many of the general concepts from magic from Warhammer Fantasy are coming to Warhammer 40,000.

-There will be "lore equivalents"

-Psychic powers will be generated randomly by psykers (like fantasy)

-Entirely new rules for constructing army lists (~Look at Fantasy for hints)

-The FOC may be history

И снова с БоЛСа:

So, another day, another set of 6th Edition rumors. Something is up for sure. You're gonna love these.

First up, various sources have identified Ahriman as being a psyker with Mastery Level:4 (eat that puny Grey Knights). More interestingly the Chaos codex is said to include a new vehicle stat named "Hull Points".

Rhinos have Hull Points:3, while bigger vehicles have more.

Grant from Faeit212 dropped in with these tasty morsels:

"On HullPoints: If a vehicle has 3 hull points it will die after 3 shaken results, but it can still explode after 1 shot as normal.

On Assault: All cc weapons have AP values in 6th similar to what was in the fake 6th ed rule book leak.

On the flying Dragon thingy: Imagine a dragon made of "fire" and coverd in a platemale armor and you won't be too far off. That is the best discription I can give. Some of the concept art shows it mauling a valkyrie mid flight. It is pretty cool.

But I've said too much! "

БоЛС продолжает вещать:

Remember when we were talking about those missing Warhammer 40,000 flyers...

On Parties:

First there is this little thing from Games Workshop Adelaide's Facebook page:

JUNE 2nd 2012: IT'S PARTY TIME!

Today we have a super secret release that we can't talk about (mainly because we have no idea what it is!) so it's time to CELEBRATE!

At 12:00 today we will be having a massive free for all game using your models from the past three weeks worth of converting and gaming madness!

Bring along your converted Character, Troops and Vehicle and slug it out with everyone else to see who is the Ultimate Deathworld Champion!

Wear something GREEN or have GREEN paint somewhere on your miniatures to receive ONE reroll that you can use in the game.

No party is complete without cake and soft drink, which we will supply on the day until we run out.

Apparently several other Games Workshop stores have similar announcements up.

And Flyers:

Followed by ever reliable Harry who chimed in with this little gem regarding the party:

I meant flyers.

I am thinking just three of those.... SM, Ork and Necron. (As mentioned in the first post).

I am not saying the other ones are not coming .... just not quite as soon as these three.

Apparently the new flyers (the SM one is NOT the StormEagle) will arrive with White Dwarf rules.

Random Charge Lengths are in бряхня

Pre-measuring is in. бряхня

Random Battle field effects are in. правда

All armies can purchase buildings for placement on the battlefield. бряхня

Psychic powers are selected during deployment. (except Grey Knights) правда

Deployment and Missions types have doubled. правда

ALLIES ARE BACK IN

That is right allies are back in and this will be according to fluff and will have certain restrictions. So for instance Tyranids will not have any allies. Tau with all Space Marine Chapters. Necrons with Blood Angels. Imperial Guard with Space Marines. Chaos Space Marines with Demons. If it fits the fluff it will be done.

Let us start with 6th edition fluff progression.

The Imperium is fracturing and the Space Marines are starting to separate themselves from the Lords of Terra. The heretical and xenophobia has gotten to a tipping point causing many chapters to take actions against the ”best wishes” of many in the Imperium.

A discovery of galactic importance has happened.

At a time before right before the Horus Heresy the Emperor had intrusted Roboute Guilliman in the protection of one Xenos race that was completely immune the temptations of Chaos and would prove the ultimate key to the destruction of Chaos. The Horus Heresy ended such plans. Fast forward today with discovery of these lost correspondences, it is believed by the Ultramarines and others that the Tau are that lost race. So now instead of being charge with their destruction the Astartes are the Tau protectors.

Первая часть, почти близка к правде, остальное - полная фигня от дивных. Классический пример дезинформации)

via eldargal (via stickmonkey) ~scroll down a bit

To feed some actual rumors in here.

Wave 1 in june is as bow has revealed. But i am expecting the de bomber before end of summer along with a tau and chaos sm flyer. The csm flyer is likely w the codex so the other two may have "something" with them.

The tau flyer as ive heard from 3 sources is named after a snake, not a fish. Has a networked marker light like item/weapon that can stack. 4 missiles. Options for rail guns or some gattling cannons. No transport.

Orks still have another flyer that is ready for release. And its in the codex.

Eldar get nothing until their codex. As others have stated.

Tyranids harpy has been done fore some time, but its looking like itll be held onto for a while longer. Rumor is another nid wave release with the spore later...

кратко - тремя леталками дело не ограничится. есть слухи о леталке для хсм, тау, дэ. гарпия вродке как готова, но будет в отдельной волне со спорой.

BoLS:

Here's what word on the street is regarding Psychics in Warhammer 40,000 6th edition so far...

First up, we have the previous rumors talking about "Lore Equivalents" and the general pattern forming of a lot of WFB 8th concepts making their way into the game. Here's the latest from the Bothans:

-There will be at least 4+ "Disciplines" of Psychic Powers in the game. (WFB has 8 lores)

-Disciplines seem to fall roughly along the lines of the sects described in the novel "A Thousand Sons" as used by the Heresy-Era chapter.

-Each Discipline will have a "Default" power and a set of others that you will roll for each game.

-Number of rolls you get and the the exact details of which powers you end up with are said to be similar to WFB 8th's power selection mechanic.

-Powers have a "Casting Cost" that is different from the mechanic used in WFB 8th.

-Certain 6th Codices will add additional racial specific Disciplines.

Unknowns are things such as how all of this ties into the new Mastery Level (1-4) system we have seen in the Grey Knight book and the rumored Chaos Marine codex. On balance this sounds like a streamlined faster version of the WFB magic phase, transposed into 40k. I would assume that we would have to see Erratas to reclassify all the existing psykers in the game by Mastery Level, as well as the thorny issue of how to deal with the existing in-codex powers.

Hello warseer!

I have some very early Eldar rumors. First let me start with a very clear disclaimer:

THESE ARE EARLY RUMORS, CODEX ELDAR IS RUMORED MID TO LATE 2013! I EXPECT MUCH OF THIS TO CHANGE OR EVOLVE FROM WHAT I AM HEARING TODAY!

Ok, very small list, so on to what Im hearing:

Aspects all have a way to move to troops. However, some are limited to one unit only. The phoenix Lords are NOT this mechanism supposedly.

Guardians have a slight points reduction.

Tanks ( night spinner, fire prism, falcon) have a point reduction.

Transports are about the same cost.

Storm guardians are an upgrade of normal guardians.

Rumor those units requiring a guide (wraithguard , wraithlord) longer sit idle when out side range and rolling a 1. Instead they can make a move towards a warlock or other guide. Engaging these units in cc while they are outside their guides range will have penalties, treat as ws 1, i 1. However, guides will have "buffs" they can give. Reroll to hit, bonus save, etc. (To me this sounds suspiciously like changes to nids and the tervigon)
