I was going to remain anonymous, but what the heck, take with salt, I don't often get fantasy rumors from these guys. - First Wave no new core skellies, second or third wave you will get them. - The Screaming Skull is (as I suspected) going to be turned into a huge plastic kit much the same size as the Skaven Catapult. - Expect a new core (Mummies) - Chariots remain core. (Obvious but I put it out there anyway.) This puts two good looking core. - New Tomb Guard (Obvious) Whats not obvious are the large array of options in this kit - There are bare skeleton heads in here which you can use to put on the Tomb Guard to use as core skellies or you can put some of the heads on the current skellies to spiff them up, or mix and match the two kits. Bows, Halbreds, Great weapons are options in this kit as well as HW/S - New plastic Scorpion, various builds - New plastic Bone Giant, various builds - New Metal Blister Characters/Heroes (LOTS of these) - New Plastic HQ Chariot (On of the pics on GW article shows a portion of this apparently) - Apparently there is more of a chariot theme going throughout the book, more versions of chariots in rare, special, HQ. - Some of these may be Wave 2 or 2.5 - I blew off everything that I heard in this post, so questions are pointless if directed at me, sorry. - Forgot new cavalry models, apparently a way to make them core as well as special.

Текст нового письма Форджа: "Hi There, Welcome to our second Warhammer Forge Newsletter. We have two great new releases for you this time — the Daemonic Plague Riders of Nurgle, and Kazyk the Befouled on Rotbeast. Both of these releases will feature in our forthcoming first Warhammer Forge book, Tamurkhan, Throne of Chaos. We also have some upcoming events news. Look out for future newsletters, and more exciting releases for Warhammer Empire and Chaos. Thanks, Ead Brown Nurgle Plague Riders Set The foetid mere that serves the Plague Father as a realm has spawned all manner of daemonic beasts, and the lesser of these such as Plague Toads, are often corralled and herded into battle as mounts by Nurgle’s Plaguebearers, who go lolloping into battle atop these verminous horrors to taint and slaughter mortals, in a tide of nightmarish horrors. The Plague Riders Set, sculpted by Mark Bedford, contains three detailed resin Plaguebearers that can be used in conjunction with the recently-released Plague Toads Set to create a deadly unit of Daemonic cavalry, the fell Pox Leapers, (which will be fully detailed in the forthcoming Throne of Chaos book), or used to create your own daemonic or Nurgle-tainted cavalry models and conversions. The Plague Riders Set is available to pre-order now for despatch in the week commencing the 28th of February. Kazyk the Befouled on Rotbeast Lieutenant to the mighty Tamurkhan the Maggot Lord himself, the fell champion Kazyk, known as the Befouled, is little more than a rotting sack of putrescence held together by the will to destroy. Such are the rotting blessings gifted to him that he must be all but hacked apart before his malefic spirit will cease to be. Kazyk the Befouled on Rotbeast, sculpted by Mark Bedford, makes a perfect Champion of Nurgle on Daemonic Steed for any Warriors of Chaos army. This full resin character boasts a repulsive array of mutations and plague-gifts and makes a great army centrepiece for your Nurgle horde. Full rules and background for this character will be found in our forthcoming book. Kazyk the Befouled is available to pre-order now for despatch in the week commencing the 28th of February. Warhammer Forge at Forge World Events AdeptiCon, the Forge World Open Day and Salute — three exciting events that Forge World will be attending in 2011, and three events at which you’ll be able to purchase both the exciting pre-orders in this Newsletter and the recently-released Plague Toads, Bile Trolls and Plague Ogres, as well as a few other items that we will unveil in the not-too-distant future. Прикол с думфлаером напомнило. И как орки?

Еще неделю подождать и увидим и пауков, и троллей-шаманов, и саму книгу. Ждать-то не долго осталось.

Гарри с Варсира о внешнем виде книги: "Раскрывающийся текст"The book has been being written for a little less than 12 months. So when they started writing it 8th edition was finished .... so TK will be written with full knowledge of 8th edition. However, I decision was made at some point to make the 8th edition books a good bit fatter that the current books. I am not sure at what point this book was at when this decision was made but it is possible that they decided they needed to add some more stuff to 'embellish' the book that was already in the pipeline. However none of this changes my assumption that we will see this 'new style' book this side of September. (as planned)

Огры и лягушки очень классные. Тролли как-то не очень.

Новые слухи. Надеюсь, что таки новые. "Слухи."Animosity is going to get a bit more complex. Units are supposed to infight and/or shoot/attack others. But the potential benefits are bigger as well. In general, the point costs are supposed to be lower. The Arachnork spider is going to be huge (just sthink of a beast being able to spit on the WHF buildings - from above!). The profile is based around the number 7... its biggest problem seems to be the goblin crew. Choppas give a strenght-bonus in the first round of a charge. Every Ork weapon is a choppa now - spears, magical weapons... a BO would attack with +3S in the first round of combat, as an example. The number of magic items is going to be drastically reduced. Feral Orks on boars... think S5... potentially 4A... dangerous on the charge... Black Orks might get another attack on top of what hey have, and seem to be more dangerous than before. Most intersting: there are a few new units without models. When those will be released... no idea.

Orcs & Goblins Rumours Mark III: The current state of rumours: The new O&G book is confirmed for March 2011, see the GW Incoming! article. Pre-orders will be up at February the 9th. With releases the 5th and 13th of March. It is yet unclear what will be released when. According to Harry, "in 8th edition, and starting with Orcs and Goblins we can expect a whole different kind of army book. Obviously many of the same sections will be there but expect something a bit different." The army book is rumoured to be hardcover, and to be a good bit bigger than the current one. We get 3 new plastic sets and 3 new blisters: Plastic: - Savage Orc Boyz - Savage Orc Boar Boys - the Aracharok Spider Blister: - Wurrzag on foot - Savage Orc Great shaman on boar - He is repudetedly standing on the boar and the boar is a metal version of the new boars with slightly bigger horns and some savage orc adornements (feather/bone) - a third blister of (yet) unknown content Things we do not get: - Orcs do NOT get devestating charge (hastings). - Hobgoblins. - common forrest goblins (on foot). - Orc Idols and some huge cave beast (though we might hope Warhammer Forge may come up with something nice, eh? But nothing is in the pipelines just yet according to people that talked to them at Games Day UK) - Plastic Sguigs - Black Orc Boar Boys - Skirmishing giant spider riders - new common Goblins on foot and wolf - new Boyz on foot For a future wave release, there might be new common goblins and wolf riders in the pipeline. We keep all current special characters(that includes Grom in his chariot!) and get Wurzzag and two goblin special characters; both heroes, one of which is a forest goblin on a giant spider (aka cavalry base spider) for a total of 15 lord choices and 11 hero choices! We get a new model, the Arachnarok spider. It can be taken as a mount for a common goblin great shaman, or it can be a rare choice. As a rare choice it will have options for some warmachine thing or other special rule in that regard. Common goblins will get some sort of a unit upgrade. Hastings hinted at something that has two handweapons but is not an assasin. (Common) Goblin characters will be able to ride Giant and Gigantic spiders, so an all spider army should be viable (by Hastings). Also we may be getting another new unit besides the Arachnarok, though it is unclear what it is at the moment.
