Поехали! Первая глава Один из гг книги, прошедший за 5 лет путь от кандидата(неофита) до хана(капитана)!

Главная проблема ереси - мы знаем, чем все закончится, отсюда плотармор и предсказуемая унылость поединков примархов и чемпионов. И если с охасоевшими персами можно задействовать чит бессмертия, то с теми, кто еще "не" и лоялистами зависит от выдумки авторов. Выходит так себе. У Абнетта истерика Фули и вовремя заработавший телепорт Абы, у Райта "хитрый план" Хана и чудодейственная аугметика Шибана (я после Мортиса думал, что его в дредноут засунут, с такими то ранами). А Хана подозреваю сам батя оживит пинком под зад "иди дерись, чего разлегся?" перед тем, как отправится на Мстительный дух)) В целом книга неплоха. Скоро будет первая порция перевода.

"спойлер в двух словах" Шрамы взяли космопорт Львиные врата, Морти с Ханом в процессе самоубились, первый отправился к деду, второй на ручках Илюши к Малкадору. Подозреваю, обоих вылечат) Сиги получил от Хассана тот самый меч, ну и занялся любимым делом, стал чемпом Импи, убив Кхарна (этого тоже вылечат). Олл сотоварищи все так же уныло бредут во дворец сбежавшего Фо отловил лично Вальдор и снова посадил за парту, творить зелье Киилер в тылу врага поднимает партизанское движение, ее [ну уж нет]одит Локен и нанимается в бодигарды к Эрде явился Эреб и предложил перейти на темную сторону силы, она ожидаемо послала его, он вызвал 4 грейтеров, она с помощью неварп-магии раздулась до их размеров и наваляла им, но в процессе утомилась, и после нового отказа на этот раз поклоняться лично Эребу, он пырнул ее атамом

"по поводу титанов warmaster" How well-done is the introduction of the Warmaster titans? These things can come off like "and then in swept the new toys, £99 from GW.com, with this or that special feature to turn the tide" but it's not an approach I'd particularly expect from French. Does it have that feel or does it come off as natural and integrated into the rest of the titan warfare and the novel as a whole? Hmmm. I am not sure. It does feel a bit like they were put in late in the day as a 'look at this, its the new thing we just announced', like they were popped in to highlight the new mini coming out. They appear very late in (page 468) , perhaps John French had finished a lot of the book when he was asked to put them in? Maybe not though as the minis are planned far ahead so he probably knew at the start. in terms of how they fit into the battle though they are handled fine. They make a difference, but they aren't ridiculously overpowered, and they definitely aren't the single thing that wins it for Legio Mortis. Its said in the book they are a Titan that was never deployed in the Great Crusade, the 'secrets of their making and their might held back' and kept hoarded by the Mechanicum. This was tolerated by the Imperium. The Ignatum pilots knew what they were, knew the titan pattern, so i assume that most major Legions have some. Not sure why the Loyalist forces haven't deployed any on Terra though. кто-то нибудь из местных покупал?

"финита " Yep Katsuhiro is great in this book. I don’t think he realises it fully, but his faith in the Emperor is keeping him going, where others have faltered. The wall guns are now taking fire from Mortis vortex missiles. The wall commander realises they were able to pinpoint which guns to target when they re-activated them. She has them shut down. Legio Invigilata assault Maniples are engaging the enemy, armed with melta cannon, power claws, chainfists and assault pod arms full of Imperial Fist assault marines!!! Some Fists jump pack from their pod on a Reaver onto a Mortis Warlord, set charges which blow its carapace void generators, and jump off. This leaves the Mortis warlord unshielded, the the former solaria warlord Luxor Invictoria destroys it. The Fists jump onto other Mortis titans to do the same. The Solaria warhounds and Vyronii knights are engaging the Warmaster Titans group. The Vyronii Castogator pilot finally loses his mind and runs, destroying one of his Armiger attendants, before being destroyed by Bestia Est and the other Armiger. Cydon calls some of the Legio Ignatum titans to him. The Ordo Sinister titans are moving into the Mortis lines. The Mortis Warmasters are moving in. Invigilata move in with Ignatum. Dies Irae and its Possessed Titan guard arrive. One of the Ordo Sinister titans, Oreintalis-Echion, is destroyed by fire from the Warmasters. Ignatum destroy a daemon Titan, but then Tetracauron’s (the main Ignatum character in the book) Warlord comes face to face with the Dies Irae and is destroyed. Shiban has reached Marmax south where Katsuhiro is. Cole the army officer has died from his wounds, but the baby is ok. Shiban keeps walking after a pause at the wall with Katsuhiro, heading for the Ultimate Wall just behind marmax south. The Selenar who was working with the command Prefectus sets Basilio Fo free from the blackstone prison. Oll and co escape the paradise hive and the Emperors Children. They head for the palace in a Lighter that Actae had stashed nearby. The Dark Angels have taken the hollow mountain. They need to find a way to reactivate the astronomican, the equipment and few remaining astronomican psykers are a mess, and the DA librarians say their are issues with the resonance of the mountain caused by chaos effects. Vassago is unsure but thinks he can do it. He alludes to having knowledge from Calibanite lore that might help the process. The Dark Angels are now in contact with the Bhab Bastion and speak to Dorn, telling him they have retaken the hollow mountain. The command staff cheer that the Dark Angels have arrived, but brief hope is dashed when Corswain tells Dorn it is only his contingent of 10,000, and the rest of the Legion are yet to arrive. Archamus suddenly reports that Legio Mortis have breached the lines and Cydon, command Princeps of Legio Ignatum is gone. The commander at the Mercury wall orders the gun reactors to shut down so they can’t be taken by the enemy. Archamus reports their command and control data to the tower is failing and they are becoming data blind to the situation outside. Dorn orders Sigismund and his reserves to be brought in, and a palace wide vox link opened before they lose connection. He begins a palace wide speech to tell everyone they have reached the final phase of the battle. In the distance the Solaria Warhounds and the remaining Vyronii Armiger see huge engine reactor detonations. They turn and run towards the wall, back into the battle. Katsuhiro and the troops at Marmax south are waiting for more incoming enemy, Katsuhiro has faith that one day this will be over and the palace will be rebuilt, and people will walk there knowing what was happening to them now only in stories. Vassago is in a passage in the hollow mountain and is met by two Calibanite Dark Angels. They chastise him for saving Corswains life and using Order lore to attempt to relight the beacon. He speaks against what has happened to Horuses Legions, he sees it as a threat. More calibanites move in behind him. One marine steps forward and Vassago is shocked. It’s someone who had been left on Caliban, who should not be there (I’m thinking it’s Zahariel, no confirmation though). The marine orders the others to take Vassago and they move towards him as Vassago raises his Mace to fight. Legio Mortis have reached the Mercury Wall. The Dies Irae reaches the base of the wall and looks up at the palace, warhorns blaring. The Emperor is weakened in the warp. Horus appears before him there, regal and powerful. Horus is able to get near to him now and touch him. The Emperor is near the end of his ability to hold back the chaos forces.

"финиш все ближе" Sindermann and Maurer are breaking keeler out of the blackstone prison. The prefect convoy taking keeler out is ambushed and keeler is taken. Oll and co confront the daemon at the centre of paradise. John uses Enuncia to kill it. Rane, one of Olls crew is killed. They fight to escape from Emperors Children, Leetu kills several. As they are escaping a woman in red and another space marine they had seen earlier appear to help. She gives her name as Actae and is psychic. Given what jon says, I think she is Cyrene Valantion, but it’s not confirmed. She appear blind like Cyrene. The marine with her is a Alpha Legionary who recognises Jon. She is against both the plans of Horus and the Emperor. She has a way to Horus. Jon wants them to kill her but Oll agrees they will go with her. On the wall Baeron the Blood Angel dies, and passes section command to Katsuhiro. He saw Katsuhiro always fighting and not running, and orders the troopers on the wall section to follow him, then dies from his many wounds. Katsuhiro rises to the occasion, issuing orders and beginning chants dedicated to the emperor.

"шоу продолжается" On the palace walls many imperial soldiers and gun crew are suddenly overcome by a wave despair and exhaustion fuelled by the warp and leave their posts to jump off walls, overload plasma relays or cause explosions or kill themselves in other ways. The Ordo Sinister place themselves under Dorn’s command, by the emperors order, and will be joining the Titan battle. The Titan battle is intense, Ignatum are pushing forward but the fire from the wall guns has slackened (due to many gun crew killing themselves), orbital debris is raining down and they are under fire from enemy ships in orbit. The Ignatum vanguard are withdrawing to repair and re-arm at the wall and then the Dies Irae appears having broken through the lines. It’s heavily corrupted, and is accompanied by 7 possessed battle titans. The paradise hive is a creation of Fulgrim and the Emperors Children. The people who go inside become wrapped in thorns and their deepest secrets are seen in their dreams. Jon meets Oll in Olls dream and we find out why the Emperor and Oll fell out and when it happened. The Emperor was a king and Oll was his great friend at this point in the long past, and was the Warmaster of his armies. Yes that is right; in the long past Oll once held that position just like Horus. They led a large army to attack a structure that turns out to be the Tower of Babel; the common language the inhabitants of the tower are using is actually Enuncia, the primordial language of creation. This is too deadly for anyone in the world to use so they have come to destroy the tower and its inhabitants. The tower is breached by their army, and they move in to destroy the Enuncia lexicon in the tower. The emperor destroys the men in the tower speaking Enuncia who are attempting to hold the army back. However we find out the Emperor seeks to take the remaining lexicon away and lock it up as a forbidden weapon, for use in the future if necessary (the emperor tells Oll he sees the long future when mankind have spread into space and may need such weapons against terrible enemies). Oll wanted it destroyed because it is so dangerous. Oll tries to kill the emperor, by stabbing him under his armour and speaking an Enuncia word at him. This causes the tower to explode and the emperor and Oll to fall out. John is horrified by all this. John also becomes able to understand the Enuncia from Olls mind. Olls crew come and rescue him and pull him, jon and leetu (Erda’s space marine)out from the thorns. The Dark Angels assault the hollow mountain. There are loads of slaneesh daemons and heavily corrupted Emperors Children. Corswain kills the slaneesh daemon thing at the heart of the hollow mountain. Vassago saves Corswains life twice. Ignatum have resorted to firing Vortex missiles from their command Warmonger at the enemy. Dorn has come to the Mercury wall. Order has been restored and the guns are firing again. The ordo sinister have arrived and freak out the Titan and Knight crews rearming in the hangers as they walk out to battle. One of the Ordo Sinister titans is a Reaver, they don’t just have Warlords. Vethorel convinces the Titan crews who have refused to fight to go out into the battle. But they will not be going out as a ragged host, they will form into a new Legion and fight as one, the Legio Invigilata. They will be led by the Great Mother of Legio Solaria. Shiban is still on the way back, fighting cultists and zombies and a plague marine, whilst trying to protect the army officer and the baby. Oll and co find that paradise is a dream farm; the emperors children are refining the dreams of the people in the thorns into a liquid. They are trying to find one of Olls crew who is missing. gnatum have 3 Emperor class titans present. 2 Imperators and 1 Warmonger. Dorn wants the wall plasma generators secured and the guns ready to be shut down. The enemy aren’t firing on the wall, they clearly want to take it. Dorn doesn’t want their guns used against them when the wall is lost. The Ignatum vanguard commander is back in the battle re-armed and carrying vortex missiles. 2 formidable possessed Mortis titans are incoming. An Ordo Sinister Titan arrives on the scene, orders the Ignatum warlord to fire a vortex missile between it and the possessed titans, steps into the warp vortex to heal damage taken from the possessed titans, then proceeds to annihilate them. The Great Mother, now in command of Legio Invgilata, passes command of Legio Solaria to her daughter. Another threat has entered the battlefield, Legio Mortis has deployed its Warmaster Titans!!! оставшиеся 60 стр камрад дочитает завтра Главное Олл и Джон попадают в райский улей, который создали Фулгрим и ДИ. Вошедшие туда попадают в терновник и их самые большие тайны показывают в их с[ну уж нет]. Джон видит Олла в его сне и узнает, как тот поссорился с Импи. В древности Перссон был другом и Магистром войны Императора. Они осадили Вавилонскую башню, обитатели которой говорили на Энунции, изначальном языке творения, который был очень опасен. Башню взяли, людей перебили, но Импи решил не уничтожать этот словарь, а спрятать и использовать в будущем в случае необходимости. Олл не согласился и пырнул друга, заодно обозвав каким-то словом на Энунции. Башня взорвалась. а друзья перестали ими быть. Джон от увиденного ошалел, так как понял язык благодаря своим способностям. Команда Олла спасает его, Джона и Лидва из этих зарослей. ТА берут штурмом Пустую (Полую) гору, вырезав там слаанешских демонов и ДИ. Вассаго дважды спасает Кора. Дорн принимает командование над обороной Меркурианской стеной. На подмогу Игнатуму подходит Синистер. А те принцепсы из разных легионов, что сначала отказывались воевать, объединяются в новый легион Инвигилата под командованием главной мамки из Солярии. Да. Шибан же выжил и топает по тылам с армейским офицером и ребенком к своим.

А Френч здорово опустил Льва. Пока тот, не смотря на все уговоры Ольгина, забивал на Терру и пошел жечь галактику, Корсвейн просто явился в Соляр, прорвался к Терре и высадился практически на передовой. Кстати, а Пустая гора в какой части дворца [ну уж нет]одится?

В бэке много чего раньше было, а теперь - нет. И наоборот. Те же Волки в Алаксесе сами отбились от Альфы, и на Терру не возвращались, и Русс не тыкал Гора копьем.

"следующая порция" The Titan battle is really well done. The Ignatum vanguard and the Solaria titans are bogged down by the zombie titans but are fighting back. Ignatum maniples are merging shields and moving forwards, but then the Legio Mortis main force arrives. Under heavy fire (including from vortex missiles) and losing titans the Ignatum force refuses to retreat and advances into the enemy. Then the Ignatum main force, led by the 2 Emperor class Titans and the princeps maximus Cydon, the Ignatum commander, joins the battle. Katshuiro is still on the walls with other troops, exhausted. Fighting another chaos wave some troops turn, katshuiro is hearing voices telling him to go to paradise (chaos warped hive where Oll is) and rest and sleep. Katshuiro’s faith in the emperor stops him running. The Imperstor Somnium has advanced technology that has allowed it to get far into Terran orbital space before it’s detected. The 4 Dark Angel ships are riding alongside it. It destroys dozens of enemy ships in a glorious epic charge before succumbing to mass fire. Thanks to the distraction the 4 Dark Angel ships are able to get in and disgorge the entire dark angels force. They are also destroyed but the entire Dark Angels force has got in unharmed to combat drop on the Hollow Mountain. The Iron Warriors have definitely left Terra and are heading to the translation point. Their departure has left less depth and order in the traitor fleet, and has also seen some traitor ships breaking orbit to pursue them. It’s possible the Somnium and the DA ships may not have made it in if the Iron Warriors hadn’t left!. ТА ценой гибели Императора Сомниум и 4 своих кораблей высадились на Пустой горе, она же крепость Астрономикона. ЖВ таки свалили с Терры. Вот это Френч отжег)))
