Регламент и правила турнира.

Рекомендуемые сообщения

Господа, мы будем проводить турнир согласно регламету и правилам ЕТЦ.

Ниже я привел их список. Я буду руководствоваться этими правилами при проведении турнира.

Scoring System: Standard Battlefront scoring, the winner gets 6 points, the loser gets 1 point, and this is then adjusted based on how many platoons the loser manages to kill, and if any important historically figures met their end on the battlefield. There are no draws, so if neither player wins a fair fight then both score as if they lost. Also, any game where 6 turns have not been played AND victory conditions are not met will be classed as a mutual loss.

The points scored in each game are added to team's score and are recorded as Small Points (SP). If a player wins a game then a Big Point (BP) is added to the team's score as well. The leaderboard will be sorted primarily by BPs, and then by SPs.

Timings:

1. Each round will last for 3 hours. This includes the time for the pairings process which must be completed within 10 minutes.

2. Any players not paired after 10 minutes should be randomly paired.

3. Both Players must get the same number of turns played. There will be an overtime period of up to 10 minutes available to give the player who went second the opportunity to catch up.

4. If the game result would be decided at the start of the next turn, players should check the victory conditions for the start of the next turn as per Sudden Death rules i.e.: the player that went first check victory conditions i.e. sole survivor, company morale, possessing enemy objective as if the turn has started and has been played.

Rules/Issues Resolution:

1. Players should first consult the rule book and other supplementary PDFS. Go over the rule/issue step-by-step together to see if a solution can be found.

2. If this doesn’t work, call over both team captains and have each player (if needed) explain the situation and show the relevant section in the rules. Allow the two captains to discuss to see if they can reach consensus.

3. Call a referee. This can be either one of the official referees or one of the player/captain referees. The only requirement is that the referee cannot be from one of the teams involved in the rules/issue discussion.

4. Finally as the last resort, for issues that cannot be resolved by any of the above escalations, call a panel of three referees (official or player, and again, not from either country involved in the discussion). Explain the issue, the three referees deliberate, majority referee decision is implemented.

Tournament Rules

1. Bring a copy of your list with you and give it to your opponent. The list must include all of the information that would be found in an EasyArmy or Forces of War print out including the armory and special rules. Make sure that your opponent understands what your army does, if it has any special rules (those rules don’t exist unless they can be read by your opponent, and it is your responsibility, not his to provide the print out), and how the platoons/teams are broken out/marked. I’m not saying that you should tell your opponent how to beat you, but you should not try to win because your opponent doesn’t know the rules that govern your company. Failure to provide a copy of your list when asked will result in a one small point penalty.

2. Units/platoons and leaders need to be readily identifiable. Any disputes arising from failure to identify team/platoons/leaders should first go to the captains then a referee. Their decision stands.

3. No proxies are allowed unless the model is not available from any source. Your opponent can ask for proxies to be removed from play. These removals do not count as destroyed, but as if they were never part of the platoon.

4. Roll the dice in the open and allow your opponent to see the rolls. If he didn’t see the dice, the roll didn’t happen and the roll is redone.

5. All cocked dice are re-rolled. Discuss with your opponent what constitutes a legal roll before the game and stick to the agreement. For example, only dice that are completely flat and do not rest on a terrain feature (even a flat woods template) are legal.

6. Cooked or tampered dice – If a player is found to be using cooked dice (for example, using both the old and the new Battlefront dice where the image is on the 1 with the old dice and the 6 with the new) will result in the player being removed from the competition. The team in question will forfeit any games already played by that player. Remaining games can be played by the coach with no additional penalty (unless cooked dice are again used). We have had no issues with this so far that I’m aware of. Let’s keep it that way.

7. No mobbing at the table. These games are one-on-one, not team on one. Play your own game and let your team mates play theirs. Surrounding and intimidating an opponent with numbers is not acceptable. If a player feels that he is being mobbed, he should raise it with the captains. If the problem persist or recurs, then he should signal a referee who will tell the “mob” to leave. If the issue continues, one small point shall be deducted from the game score per instance.

8. Discuss the terrain and agree on how each piece will be played. If you can’t come to an agreement, either dice off or call a ref or the TO. The ref’s/TO’s decision stands.

9. If there are questions call your teams captains to solve the issue at hand and if no solution is found, then call a ref or the TO. Each side explains the situation and the ref makes a decision. Don’t have 20 people all speaking at once; it just causes tensions to rise and makes it more difficult to understand.

10. Don’t Slow Play – Set-up. Intentionally taking more time than needed during set-up or while playing a game is cheating. The defender gets 20 minutes to set up their force in mobile and defensive battles if setting up half of their army, and 30 minutes when setting up their full army. Any platoons not fully on the table at the end of the time limit arrive as reserves (needing the standard 5+ roll to appear; these platoons appear as per reserves placement per the scenario). In Fighting Withdrawal reserves arrive using scattered reserves rule and in Surrounded on one of the two defenders deployment areas board edges as decided by the defender.

11. Don’t Slow Play – Gaming. You have 3 hours for your game, and there is no maximum number of rounds. Roll multiple dice at a time when taking saves for a stand that receives more than one hit. Work out your plans during the other guy’s turn. If slow play is occurring, the player should first discuss with their captains. If the issue persists, call a referee. The penalty for Slow Play is one small point deducted from the game score for each instance.

Player Guidelines

1. Don’t be a dick! We’re all here to have fun and play toy soldiers. We all want to win and represent out team and our country, but that doesn’t mean that you should be unpleasant during your game.

2. Keep it calm. We all get excited during games, and this is compounded when you play at a team event. Getting louder doesn’t help, and it normally means that you are harder to understand.

3. Remember that English is not everyone’s first (and sometimes fourth) language. Speak slowly and clearly. Half of the arguments out there are caused not by nefarious intent, but through misunderstandings.

4. Don’t sweat the stupid stuff and state your intentions. If you say that your platoon is greater than 10 inches from the opposing platoon, at it is just within, move it back. Don’t tell your opponent that the platoon is greater than 10 inches and then try to assault.

5. Doubts about special rules or potentially tricky situations should be discussed BEFORE a conflict arises. It is essential that both players feel comfortable with how the game is being played at every moment.

6. Discuss what you are doing during the game so your opponent knows what you are doing. Rolling a bunch of dice and then saying that you have 10 hits before you’ve declared a shooting platoon and target is not acceptable. If there are disputes or questions, redo whatever it is that you did.

7. At any time if a team feels that they have been treated in an unsporting manner, they should inform a ref or the TO about it. This way the conflicting situations can be recorded and further discussed with the affected teams in order to prevent further unsporting behavior during the event.

For the penalties listed above, small point deductions can alter the winner of the game. A 4-3 win to a defender that has a Slow Play penalty changes to a 3-4 loss, thus the loss of a Big Point. This may seem harsh, but all of these penalties are for behavior that can and should be controlled. I would expect that the above is very easy to comply with as we’ve seen over the last 4 years.
