I'd say Xana isn't so much as "leaning" towards the traitor cause as much as it tripped and fell face first into a bearhug with the traitor cause.

They went full Dark Mechanicum. They agreed to trade Ordinatus weapons to the traitors for the bodies of Space Marines so they could experiment with the Emperor's genetic science, which is like a super no-no. On top of millions of tonnes of ordnance.

They even created a vast "city" which they loosed prisoners (including Imperial Army units) captured in their raids on Imperial Worlds, just so they could show the Sons of Horus how much fun their Ordinatus platforms are!

Потому что из всех шести эта книга - самая пустая. Не думала, что когда-нибудь такое напишу, но в четвёртой хотя бы была Солярная Ауксилия.

The Alpha Legion ambush the Conclave at Optera.

The White Scars then maraud through the sector, hunting them. They end up on a world (I forget which) and such is the carnage that the system is swallowed by the Warp and remains so to this day. So nobody knows what happened to them both. There's no real detail beyond that sadly. We do know they're the Brotherhood of the Foresworn, so one of the suicidal atonement-battalions exiled from the Legion after Scars. Garro notes most of the warriors bear Lodge tokens.

The Blood Angels were kicking the Alpha Legion in the balls on a mining colony but seemingly suddenly got a Phall-like order to withdraw and made for Terra. It's suggested at least some made it.

"Пересказ сюжета"

Chapter one:

continues the plot lines from conquest. The remaining loyalist strongholds in the coronid deeps are surrounded by alpha legion and iron warriors. Salamanders on nocturne dispatch a ship to isstvan to try and locate vulkan, but discover cassian draco instead. he now leads a large shattered legions force across the region.

Chapter Two:
concerns the events on Xana, a forge world that would later become the daemon forge world where many of forgeworld's daemon engine range are created. it starts with giving a large history of xana from it joining the imperium to its place in the war. xana initially plays both sides. dragging both into a long process of negotiations. but in the end it sides with horus. the deal is sealed with the sons of horus delivering a horde of dead marines and vehicles from isstvan 5. which to the mechanicum is a treasure trove of battlefield data, equipment components and STC items they might not already have access to. Xana in return plans to deliver 3 ordinatus vehicles to the SoH, a feat not even mars will due, in order to try and one up them.
when the SoH arrive to exchange gifts, a large strike force of loyalist shattered legions, blackshields attack. followed shortly from the opposite direction an attack by a Dark Angel fleet. the dead bodies and ruined vehicles that the SoH delivered then rises from the dead and attacks nearby Xana forces, with the SoH force present actually turning out to be loyalist black shields pretending to be SoH. they then manage to steal 2 of the ordinatus and the 3rd is destroyed in the attempt.
the all out surprise attack leaves xana severely damaged, and unable to play a part in the rest of the war, only coming back to power shortly before horus's attack on the solar system.

Chapter 3.
this deals with the conflicts in the pale stars (near the maelstrom, one of the battlefield in the badab war). it initially starts with a rogue trader being sent to discover if the local systems are loyal or traitors, he arrives to find the system under the control of the alpha legion, but is under constant attack from a large blackshield formation called the 'dark brotherhood'. the description of their leader reaches malcador, who believes him to be one of the 20 he'd tasked garro with recruiting.
garro is sent to the pale stars along with rubio and zaven. when he arrives he sends out an encrypted astropath message that only loyalist forces would be able to read, requesting them to meet him on a certain planet at a certain time. once there, he finds his message answered by the black shields along with a two large legion forces, one blood angels, the other a white scars force of mixed brotherhoods. the blood angels were the 121st company who had fail to reach the meet up with the rest of their legion to go to signus, and had been lost in the warp. the white scars don't say why they're there, but it is heavily implied that they are some of the sagyar mazan. the black shield force is present in force. garro steps forward and tells the leaders his full account of the heresy and what's going on, requesting that they all following him back to terra. the BA, believing at this point in time, that their primarch and the rest of their legion are lost. decide to take the fight to the enemy, rather than retreat and defend terra. the WSs state that they can not.and before the blackshields answer, the AL attack the ships in orbit. the Blackshield beliving this to be a trick by garro, attack, but their leader joins him, teleporting up to garros ship and leaves for terra. with accounts of the BA, WS and blackshield bands being mentioned as present in later battles with the 121st company of BA being listed as present at terra for the siege.

Chapter 4
this chapter covers Autok Mor and his forces attack on the world eaters training/recuiting/mustering world of bodt. at this point mor's iron hands are effectly blackshields, no longer part of the wider loyalist command structure, and out for their own ends. His IH have a shattered legions force of 300-400 men, along with 800 imperial fists. he also enlists agathon solar auxilia regiments that survived book 4. his combined force attacks bodt basically firing it's moon at the planet and the thousands of world eaters, recruits and militias below. they also attack the ground before the moon hits, with mor going after the weapons vaults and retrieving something of great importance before leaving.

Chapter 5
this chapter is very different to the others, it is presented in a 'found footage' format. from the perspective of imperials during the scouring about the Nostramo sector. A imperial fleet attacks nostramo during the scouring expecting to find a NL stronghold, but finds it near empty and destroyed. the files show a series of events during the HH. involving attacks on the NL strongholds by a black shield force called the ashen claws, who we are lead to believe wrecked shit on the night lords in the sector, leaving the area to be declared off limited by the new imperium.
this chapter ends with a mention of crysos morturg (blackshield DG character from book 1). he is listed as a 'captain' of the '108th independent company'. which leads us to assume that the large numbers of loyalists from traitor legions or blackshield formations brought back into the fold were reformed into companies which acted independently of any existing space marine chapter, as the marines has mixed gene seeds, they would of been deemed unsuited to forming new chapters.

that makes up the 5 story chapters in retribution, and a general oversight of their contents.
book 6 also contains a two page spread covering all 18 legions and their general whereabouts at this point in the story. it also contains a timeline for a significant number of conflicts and battles ranging from ullanor up to an attack on a WB held planet by a UM led-shattered legions force in 013.m31. the timeline includes all large known conflicts (prospero, calth, isstvan etc) and quite a few new ones. most won't be covered any more than that, being just a little detail to feed players minds and others are planned for future expansions or BL novels ("the great Titandeath" for example).

The Pale Nomads are a separate predation fleet that eventually becomes the Carcharadons. A different fleet, one that is less loyal to the Imperium, becomes the Ashen Claws who begin raiding the Nostramo sector, first to claim it from the Night Lords there, and then to solidify their claim against the Imperium. They even come into conflict with the Ultramarines. Morturg & the 108th never encounter the Ashen Claws. They just patrol through a nearby area and intercept an astropathic message fragment that is probably attributable to the Ashen Claws.

Все изгнанные легионеры - Pale Nomads. Один из орденов, Ashen Claws, выбрал свой путь и стал пиратами. Другие стали Кархародонами. Судя по тому, что Никор уникальный и реликтовый корабль уровня Терминус Эста, их флот - флот самого Аркхаса Фала.
