Добавлю чуток, всегда приятно обсудить чужие деньги) Как раз сегодня повезло полистать журнал Figure Painter Magazine нумбер 32, и там есть интервью с Arsies`ом, очень любопытное в целом кстати.
И вот, что там есть по теме:

...would you suggest to a young painter he should follow his passion and turn their miniature painting it into a job and if so, what would be your main advice?
Ответ:
No! I`d suggest for him to study, get a good job (not necessarily the one that going to make him rich, but one that gives him a decent salary and he likes) and make miniature painting a good hobby. Miniature painting as a job is a hard, with a lot of working hours, very poor salary, strong backaches, family opposition (at least at the begining)...
