  3. "Отыграл 4 игры."Ok! Ive had 4 games now with the 1.2 rules. So im here to give updated opinions. The new standard balancing point being 4500. You might want to have asked the TOs about this before you made this move...because all the TOs in my area and the people Ive all talked to heard the new standard was 4500...thought about it for exactly one minute...and said 'Nah, we'll stay with 5000.' This creates an issue! Namely that some of the percentages designed to limit certain choices now no longer limit said choices. Let me direct your attention to my 'This system is broke' 3 EDC WotDG list. 3 EDCs + 2 killy characters on demon steeds. Now that a lot of artillery can no longer deal well with monsters (looking at you, catapults)...well... This isnt just your fault, but you shouldve been aware of the feelings of the community better. People dont wanna play with less toys even if the games go faster (they dont, btw...my 4500 point game took just as long as the 5000's). Once rules are known, what makes a game go fast or slow is if the people you play are fast players or slow players. And you cant change that by dropping down points. Of course people want to play at 5000. They like to have their toys. So now we have a situation where the balance is off, right away, immediately. Yes this is only a phase, but people form opinions during this MONTHS LONG phase and once you lose someone, its hard to get them back. Magic Ok. Some good news here. Not as useless as I thought it would be (Thanks @nicreap for demonstrating lol). But still way too swingy. The UD list had the benefit of not being real swingy because they have a stable magic flux due to Soul Conduit...AND the fact a lot of the spells were bound spells (so no miscast lol u die). The 10 paths as opposed to 20 are ok. I honestly dont even notice. Spells themselves still seem meh for the most part. Some paths are WAY WAY better than others. Compare Cosmology with Evocation, for example. Cosmology is just better IN EVERY SINGLE WAY. Shamanism and Occultism? Why would I ever pick Occultism? But I guess these may just be personal preference, since Ive not played every single lore against all armies yet. I know you are going to fix magic flux some day. Fix it sooner lol. Balance between armies A bit too early to meaningfully comment on this guys. My gut tells me though that some armies are going to be in a way better place than others. I think WotDG and UD are in a much better place than say Empire and Orcs and Goblins. Army Internal Balance I can only speak for my two main armies, WotDG and UD. But the internal balance in these armies is WAY WAY off. Some choices are simply Must Haves, and some you just wont ever touch. EDC is going to be chosen EVERY TIME over any other monster. Fallen in core (or barbs if you need a brick) are just way better than warriors in core. I doubt you'll see a Demon Prince ever in competitive play (unless its someone who is handicapping themselves). On the UD side you got two choices: Shabti-star or Necro-Star. Also, its either ALL IN on magic or 'Just bound spells thanks'. We need a better system to balance units. Speaking of balancing systems... 9th Age General Balancing Modus Operandi As far as I can tell, you guys have some general rules in how you do things. "Nerf not Buff" and are generally geared toward Symmetrical Balancing. These both are huge mistakes at this point in the game. Originally yes, you needed to tone down the power level. Take it from a 10 to a 2. I get that. I understand that. I agree with that. But now its time to turn things up again. A new release is like christmas. Everyone gets excited, imagining all the new toys they will get, how everything in their army will be shiny and new...all the new builds this redesign will open up. And then they open their present and its socks. Cmon guys. People want to be excited about their army. So give them reasons to be excited! Just imagine all the positivity if everyones underused units got buffed in meaningful and different ways (more on asymmetrical balance in a second). Id love to field my Vortex fiend one day, and if 1.2 had made him AWESOME! I would have been so excited. Thats not to say you cant or shouldnt nerf. If its needed its needed. But use buffs more! We are at a 2. Lets go to a 6. Now...symmetrical balancing. This is generally referred to (wrongly, imho) as streamlining. It leads to Rock/Paper/Shotgun balance, even if you dont intend to. Everyone starts to look the same. With your removal of options or baking in options to units, you are trying to create symmetry inside of an army. Now everyones Battlesphinx will have breath and better armor. All those pegasus knights will have Devastating charge. Lords mounted on a chariot ALL have barding. In addition, with the percentages, you are ALSO going to see a symmetry between armies. 2-3 infantry blocks, 1-3 monsters, 1-3 characters, some calvary, some chaff, sprinkle to taste. It becomes bland. We need to move away from this. We need to go for Asymmetry amongst armies. And within armies. If I wanna take a barebones Warsphinx, I should be able to! It lets me FEEL different. And this game is all about playing YOUR army. I wanna play MY army. Not a UD army. I wanna play the Entombed Army of Pharaoh Mar-Ket, with his Elite Guard and pet Warshphinxes. Do you guys understand this? Your choices in design are having a direct effect on me feeling that my army is my own. "Да-да, я в курсе."9 Age. НЕ НРАВИТСЯ - НЕ ИГРАЙ!
  4. Вот вышла оформленная книга по магии. Да, красиво, да оформлено, да флафф. Но смысл в ОТДЕЛЬНОЙ книге магии, если она отсылает к РУЛЕБУКУ за уточнением ТИПА заклинаний? Вот что это? Скудоумие или многоходовочка(типа в брб всегда может поменяться описание типа закла?).
  5. Скорее всего, ты прав на 99% насчет свитка. Даже сам удивлен что не стали искать на него очки. Видимо сказывается то, что я новичок. :) Пока крашусь, посмотрю за происходящим с магией. Из ожидаемого, ростера содержат или 1 максимально закаченного визарда, или пару по 2-3 спелла и как новинка 1.2 ростера без магов со знаменем диспела и дешевым скролом. Если первые еще более менее стандартны для магических "дуэлей", то вторые без серьезных вариантов начинают "проседать" после 2-3 хода(хотя они уже прочарджили, скорее всего). Есть еще дикая идея через Дракона, грифона, 4х6 кнайтов и максимум демигрифов. Надо прикинуть что там выходит. Почему дикая - потому что у КФ был 4++ и МР3, а у принца голая ж.
  6. Детачами перестал играть когда они стали вызывать панику и получили штарф на стрельбу при суппорт фаере. Но если задумываться - то лучше со щитами. Кроме прикрытия, они могут в Скоринг. Про пушки. Сам видишь - многие ушли в драконо-монстру и кавалерию и на сдачу скоринги. Так как полёт порезан, хэб вполне заходит. А с мортирой получается универсально - можем по чуть-чуть везде. Жаль что только у пушек есть +1 ту хит по Ларджам. Так же, у меня есть сомнения, что противник сунется на 2 твои пушки, чем-то монстровым - это как плюс, так и минус. Опять же, не знаю чем у вас народ играет. Может 2 пушки и заходят на "Ура". Конница это все варианты того, чем играли 3-4 года назад. Поэтому не понятно - почему у тебя Рунфанг без реролла вардов? А вот бсб может реролл армора? Хотя для него, Херо Сворд это топчик, да. Кстати, ты думаешь что диспел скролл так нужен? И почему не взял Вича с топором? Первый раз выдали героя с мультипликацией и ты игнорируешь )

Again I apologize for writing from memory. The idea of the list is that I have two biggish combat blocks, solid magic, tons of s4 ap1 shooting, and lots of mobility. The only things in the army at movement 4 are skirmishers. Greatswords are movement 6/7 with their orders (charging/marching) and have swiftstride. They swing at initiative 3 which can be buffed if I get the +2 ws +2 initiative spell from Divination. I know that good opponents will be watching for that, but maybe by stopping that they'll allow other great spells to go off (such as divine attacks/re-rolls to hit for a second round of hatred, or some of the warrior priest prayers). The skirmishing pistols can support stand and shoot, and the unit of 5 electoral cavalry are my cheap scoring unit / anti chaff/ flankers. The 15 Electoral Cavalry with go with the mounted Prelate in a an 8x2 formation for maximum damage output. I gave them the banner of discipline so that they can go off on their own and not worry about panic. I'm hoping that with the nerf to war machines and the Arcane Altar my Wizard should be able to survive. I just have to make sure it doesn't get charged by anything. My biggest concern is lack of Inspiring Presence. BSB is leadership 9 bub can't be the General by default. That leaves me with a LD 8 inspiring presence from either Prelate. I'm hoping the lore attribute from Divination (cold blooded) will offset this.

    Метагейм не так делается. Учу - сидишь на форуме(ах), ростера смотришь, потом(через год, после ЕТЦ) выкидываешь свой поломный ростер(поляков) и всё.
