Curze's seeming immortality is stretching it a bit. Curze himself is hurt, Lion managed to nearly starve him to death, some of the Dark Angels managed to hurt him a little, he was thrown out into space, he went through a de-orbiting, and the First Captain managed to hurt him too. We see lines preceeding that fight, especially when he's duelling Lion, that indicate that he takes hits bad enough to leak a lot of blood, but not one instance of curze fighting or tracking anyone from there on out indicates that he's hurt at all. He fights Vulkan and gets thrown off a roof, but he's somehow COMPLETELY unencumbered by the pages and pages of injuries he's taken, not to mention the fact that he COMPLETELY exhausted his ordinance in the explosion that 'killed' Lion and Roboute. and then, by the end of the book, when Vulkan fights him in the ruined factory Vulkan gets him square in the head with what He, Vulkan, described as being the most powerful Thunder Hammer ever built, and Curze doesn't even get knocked dizzy? And THEN! After an entire BOOK of being maimed, mauled, shot, stabbed, crushed, thrown, starved, and beaten he's somehow still though enough to kill a Daemon...while IN THE WARP, where the ENTIRE 40K and 30K canon have exhaustively described daemons as being unkillable in their natural land (unless your Kaldor Draigo) I don't buy it.
