Building a Compagnia Mitraglieri
One of the Special Forces included in Burning Empires is the Compagnia Mitraglieri. The Mitraglieri (translated as machine-gun), were the main stay of Italian defences in the Sahara. They had plenty of firepower to contend with enemy infantry and provided the more mobile truck and camel-mounted troops with a safe haven.

SAS Jeep Troop (BBX24)
Initially, the SAS relied on the LRDG for transport, but it was David Sterling’s desire to eventually make them independent. In June 1942 he acquired the first Willys Jeeps for his unit and soon the SAS were off on their own, occasionally working with the LRDG during important combined raids.

Greek Bren Carrier Crew (GKO101)
Britain supplied a large amount of Bren carriers to the Greek army. They were grouped together with the captured L3s to form the armoured battalions of the motorized regiments. The carriers retained the British Bren gun in the forward mount but lacked the Boys anti-tank rifle.
