И следом за ним: Had he not done so, the pattern of his thinking would have been revealed, he considered, and his battle strategies useless.

Гвардейца отправили махать флагом, и вот он что-то заметил... 'Lieutenant! They're coming!' the Guardsman screamed from outside, running hell for leather for the bunker.

Ничего себе! Это пословица такая? Или просто очень необычная метафора?

Первое не очень понятно. Второе и третье похоже. А вот ещё странное предложение: Death only a heartbeat away, the seasoned Jungle Fighter threw down his lasgun and snatched at his combat knife. Вторая часть предложения понятна, а вот "смерть только далёкое сердцебиение..." это вообще не в тему.

Добрый вечер. Нужна помощь в переводе следующих выражений: 1)No one's come in contact with them yet, might have something to do with their technology, but they're definitely out there. 2)There is a skill to moving in waist high water and ignoring the strange movements brushing past. (а именно вторая часть, ignoring и т. д.) 3)The bulbous mangrove trees sat still, the only things with sense enough not to try and move about in the quagmire.

Великолепно!!! Просто поверить не могу, я уже полностью отчаялся прочтитать книги Black Library на родном языке, и вдруг такое. Буду надеяться, что на следующей неделе всё это подтвердится.
